What Marco Island is actually like
Marco Island is the largest of the Ten Thousand Islands and a city in its own right within Collier County. You reach it over the Jolley Bridge on SR-951 from the north or the smaller Goodland/CR-92 bridge from the east.
The island is built around canals, a crescent of Gulf beach, and a small commercial core along North Collier Boulevard. Everything is close — but everything also has to come over a bridge, which shapes contractor pricing, delivery windows and grocery runs.
It skews seasonal and second-home. Summer is very quiet; January through March the island is full.

Goodland
Tiny working fishing village east of the island — the least polished, most authentic corner of Collier County.

- SR-951 (Collier Blvd) is the only high-capacity route on and off the island — an accident on the Jolley Bridge stops everything.
- In-season backups at the bridge are common between 4pm and 6pm.
- Island speed limits are low and enforced; golf carts and bicycles are everywhere.
- Beach lots fill by mid-morning January through March.
What season does
- January through March is peak; summer occupancy drops sharply and many restaurants cut hours.
- Condo associations frequently restrict moving and delivery hours to weekday mornings.
- Hurricane evacuation orders for the island come early — it is a Zone A barrier island.

Moving a vehicle to Marco Island
This is the part we deal with daily. It is short on purpose — the point of this guide is the move, not the sales pitch.
- Full-size 75-foot carriers are impractical on most Marco streets and inside condo garages. We commonly deliver to a staging lot near the Jolley Bridge or Marco Shores and shuttle the final leg.
- Condo buildings usually require advance notice, a certificate of insurance and a scheduled elevator/loading window — send us the association's rules with your booking.
- Because the island is a dead end, drivers plan Marco as their first or last stop of the day; a slightly flexible delivery window saves real money here.
