Everyone leaves at once. Carriers running south fill early, and the last two weeks before the holidays are the tightest of the year. Book three to six weeks out and keep a two-to-three-day pickup window if you want normal pricing.

January – February · the quiet middle

Both directions loosen. If your schedule is flexible, this is the cheapest and most predictable time to move a vehicle either way on this lane.

March – May · northbound peak

The return wave. Southwest Florida empties out over roughly eight weeks and northbound trucks price accordingly. Snowbirds who book in February almost always pay less than those who call in April.

June – September · off season

Lowest demand on the corridor. Good time for a second vehicle, a collector car, or a move that is not tied to the season. Watch hurricane season on the Florida end for short-notice route changes.

How long does Minnesota to Florida car shipping normally take?

The drive is roughly 1,700 to 1,800 miles depending on your exact ends. Once a carrier loads, transit is typically several days of driving, and the pickup window — not the driving — is the part that varies most.
