FAQ

About this tool

Is the checklist generator free?
Yes. No email required, nothing stored on our servers. Answer seven questions, print it or download it as a text file.
How is this different from your PDF checklists?
The PDFs are fixed. This tool assembles only the steps that apply to your shipment — enclosed versus open, running versus inoperable, mainland versus Hawaii or Alaska, military PCS, modified trucks, peak season and dealer pickups.
Can I republish or link to this tool?
Yes. Dealerships, relocation companies, car clubs, military family organizations and journalists are welcome to link to it as a free consumer resource.
Why does every checklist mention toll transponders?
Because it is the most common surprise charge in auto transport. Remove or disable the transponder before pickup — you remain responsible for any tolls charged while the vehicle is in transit.
Who do I file a claim with if something goes wrong?
The motor carrier that had custody of the vehicle. Enterprise Auto Transport is a licensed broker, not the insurer — $250,000 cargo coverage on open carriers and up to $2,000,000 cargo coverage on enclosed carriers come from the carrier's cargo policy. We help you file and stay on it until it is resolved.
