Naples Daily News

Collier County, Florida

Enterprise Auto Transport was included in Naples Daily News coverage of how Collier County businesses adapt to the end of tourist season — the annual stretch when seasonal residents close up their homes and head north.

When season winds down in Naples, Marco Island, Bonita Springs and Estero, the traffic thins out and so does the work for a lot of local businesses. Auto transport runs the opposite way. The end of season is exactly when snowbird vehicles need to move north, and the northbound March–May window is one of the two busiest stretches of our year.

Season ends, we get busier

March through May departures are booked three to six weeks ahead. Carriers price northbound loads out of Southwest Florida on how full their trucks already are, not on the calendar date you call.

Local, owner operated

A licensed agent answers the phone here in Southwest Florida — not an overseas call center. Same person from your quote through delivery.

Vetted carriers only

Every carrier is checked for active authority and cargo coverage before dispatch, with $250k open and $1M enclosed cargo limits and soft-tie systems on enclosed loads.

Carrier relationships

Good carriers are the entire auto transport business model

The driver and carrier assigned to your vehicle decide whether it ships on time, arrives undamaged, and gets delivered without excuses. Everything else — the quote, the website, the sales pitch — is secondary. That is why the most important decision a broker makes is how they treat the carriers who actually move the cars.

  • Carriers choose brokers based on communication, fair treatment, and respect
  • Carriers avoid brokers who double-dip, mislead trucks, or send fake orders
  • Loved brokers get the best carriers and the fastest pickups
  • 99.9% carrier rating on Central Dispatch

Prepare your car for shipment checklist

Work through this before pickup day, then follow the Bill of Lading steps at both ends. That document is your condition report — and the photos you take at pickup and delivery are the evidence any claim depends on.

Enterprise Auto Transport is a licensed broker. The assigned carrier holds the cargo insurance, so all damage claims are filed with the carrier — your signed Bill of Lading and pickup/delivery photos are what support them.

About Our Company

How it works

Four steps from quote to delivery

No surprises, no runaround, no vanishing dispatcher.

  1. 1

    Get your quote

Tell us the route, the vehicle and your dates. A coordinator prices your actual lane and replies within one hour — every quote is hand-quoted for accuracy.

  2. 2

    We dispatch a vetted carrier

We confirm authority, insurance and safety record before a truck is assigned, then send you the driver's direct number.

  3. 3

    Pickup and inspection

The driver photographs the vehicle, you both sign the bill of lading, and it is loaded with soft-ties onto a full-size semi carrier.

  4. 4

    Tracked delivery

Track the vehicle in transit, get a call before arrival, inspect at delivery and sign off. That's it.

After dispatch

What if my car is dispatched and I cannot reach my driver?

Once your vehicle is on a truck, the driver and their dispatch team become your direct point of contact for everything related to pickup timing, delivery timing and payment. Here is how the relationship works — and the best way to get answers quickly.

What we handle

Our job is to negotiate the rate between you and the carrier, make the reservation, and set up the contract. We do not schedule pickup or delivery windows.

What the carrier handles

Once a carrier is assigned, the carrier and their team handle all calls about pickup, delivery and payment. They are independent contractors with their own schedules.

The fastest way to reach your driver

Please contact your carrier at the direct number provided by your sales representative. We recommend sending a text first and giving the driver a little time to respond — they may be loading, unloading, or driving and cannot answer immediately. The number you have is the same number we would call.

Only call Enterprise Auto Transport about carrier matters if you have tried reaching the carrier yourself and have not been able to get through. We are happy to help, but in most cases a quick text or call to the driver is the fastest path to an update.

I can't say enough positive remarks about the service Rena provided transporting my vehicle from Idaho to California. This was my first experience with this type of service and it could not have went any better. Rena kept us informed from the first call and throughout the entire process and the cost was more than fair compared to the other quotes I received. I would recommend Rena and Enterprise Auto Transport to anyone that wants reliable, honest and trustworthy people handling their auto transport at a fair price.
John Cain · Coeur d'Alene, ID → Huntington Beach, CA · Verified on TransportReviews
I had an amazing experience when it came to shipping my vehicle. It was my first time ever shipping a vehicle, or rather had one shipped to me, and Rena went above and beyond to make sure that I didn't have to do anything. The deliver was on time and the carriers that she uses are equally professional. I will definitely use Enterprise Auto Transport when I purchase another vehicle and I will recommend them to everyone.

FAQ

Common questions

How much does it cost to ship a car?

Most cross-country moves fall between $900 and $1,800 open, and $1,500 to $3,000 enclosed. Distance, vehicle size, route density, season and operability all move the number. We quote your specific lane, not an average.

How long does transport take?

Roughly 500 miles per day once loaded. Coast to coast is typically 6–9 days; regional lanes under 800 miles are often 1–2 days. Expedited service compresses that meaningfully.

Is my vehicle insured?

Yes. Every open carrier we dispatch carries $250,000 in cargo coverage and every enclosed carrier carries $1,000,000. You receive the certificate before pickup on request.

Do you use small trailers or tow dollies?

Never. We move vehicles exclusively on professional semi-truck car carriers operated by career drivers.

Know before you book

An honest disclaimer about this industry

The deposit is charged at the time of booking, and we will always tell you exactly what it covers: our fee for sourcing, vetting and dispatching a licensed, insured carrier. The balance is paid to the driver at delivery. A deposit is not a red flag — a broker who refuses to explain their fee is.

The reality is that the vast majority of companies quoting car shipping online are not licensed, and many of the national brands you will find are run out of overseas call centers. When you book through them, your money has to pay the brokerage, the sales rep's commission and the carrier. The carrier gets what is left, so a lower-quality truck takes the load.

At Enterprise, you do not pay three separate fees. There is no offshore sales floor taking a commission before the carrier ever sees the load. That leaves more money in the driver's pocket, which means a higher-quality carrier — with a better safety record and lower insurance deductible — accepts your vehicle. We are not the Spirit Airlines of the auto transport industry.

We believe the cheaper the rate, the worse the carrier's rating and the higher his deductible. It is a myth that your car is 100 percent insured. Every cargo policy has a deductible that the carrier must pay before the insurer pays anything. If a carrier does $500 worth of damage to your car but his deductible is $5,000, the insurance company will either kick the claim out or require him to pay that deductible out of pocket. He will not do that. A cheap carrier will not fix your car, and the dispute becomes a civil matter between you and the carrier. That is why we do not chase the cheapest quote like our competitors — it is inviting problems.

That is why we encourage every customer to sort any company's reviews by lowest rating before booking. A high average can hide damaged vehicles, truck fires, or bait-and-switch pricing that other companies have buried. We are proud of our own record, but we still want you to verify it for yourself.
