Southwest Florida International

RSW Airport Auto Transport

Most snowbirds arriving in Southwest Florida fly into RSW and want their vehicle waiting. Here is how we coordinate a shipment with a flight — and where the realistic limits are.

What "airport delivery" actually means

RSW is the gateway for the entire region, and a large share of the Minnesota families we move fly in through it. But no car carrier delivers to an airport terminal. What people are really asking for is a vehicle that is available when they land, and there are two clean ways to do that.

The first, and the one we recommend for anyone with a Florida address, is a door-to-door delivery timed to your arrival. The second is a scheduled handoff at an agreed commercial location in the Fort Myers area near the airport, for people who have no address ready or whose community cannot take a full-size trailer.

We will tell you which of the two fits your situation when you call, rather than selling you the one that sounds more impressive.

Request a quote

RSW-area transport quote

No obligation. A real coordinator replies within one hour — every quote is hand-quoted for accuracy.

Snowbird routes fill fast. Booking three to six weeks ahead helps us secure priority dispatch with our preferred carrier network. Lead times shown are estimates, not guarantees.

Shipping more than one vehicle? (optional)

Add up to 5 additional vehicles and we'll quote them on the same trailer where possible — multi-vehicle moves usually price better per car.

Your information stays with us. If you enter your name, phone, email, and vehicle details on other auto transport websites, your information may be sold to 10 or more companies and you may receive dozens of calls, texts, and emails. When you request a quote here, your information is sent directly to Enterprise Auto Transport — we do not sell or share it with other brokers or lead lists. Learn how to verify you reached us.

Only one discount per household. If several offers apply, your coordinator will apply the largest eligible discount to your hand-quoted rate.

Compare

Door-to-door versus near-airport handoff

Door-to-door (recommended)

  • Driver comes as close to your address as equipment and streets allow
  • No second trip, no rental car gap
  • Works for the great majority of Southwest Florida addresses
  • Where a community cannot take a 75-foot rig, we agree a safe nearby meeting point
  • Someone you designate can receive it if your flight moves

Near-airport handoff

  • Scheduled meeting at an agreed commercial location in the Fort Myers area
  • Suits arrivals with no Florida address ready to receive a truck
  • Suits condominium and marina addresses with no trailer access at all
  • Scheduled handoff, not open-ended storage
  • You will need a ride from the terminal to the meeting point

Drive times

From RSW to your Southwest Florida address

Naples · Collier County

About 45 minutes

Our home market and the single heaviest Minnesota destination on the corridor. Seasonal demand here concentrates between late October and the week after New Year's.

North Naples · Collier County

About 35 minutes

Closer to RSW than central Naples, which makes it a natural fit for customers pairing shipment with a flight into Fort Myers.

East Naples · Collier County

About 50 minutes

Mixed housing stock and a strong year-round population, so carrier availability holds up better here in the shoulder months.

Bonita Springs · Lee County

About 25 minutes

Sits between Naples and Fort Myers on the same run, so it is rarely a detour for a driver already delivering in Collier County.

Estero · Lee County

About 15 minutes

The closest priority market to RSW, and the easiest place on the corridor to line a delivery up with an arriving flight.

Fort Myers · Lee County

About 20 minutes

The regional freight hub. More trucks pass through Fort Myers than any other point in Southwest Florida, which usually means the shortest delivery windows in the region.

Fort Myers Beach · Lee County

About 35 minutes

Island geography changes the plan. Deliveries here are commonly completed from a mainland meeting point rather than at the residence.

Cape Coral · Lee County

About 35 minutes

Enormous residential footprint with canal-side streets. Most deliveries are simple; the far northwest quadrant adds drive time for the driver.

Marco Island · Collier County

About 65 minutes

Bridge access and a heavy condo mix make this the market where planning the handoff matters most. It is also a strong enclosed-transport destination.

Punta Gorda · Charlotte County

About 50 minutes

North of the main SWFL cluster and directly on I-75, so drivers often handle it on the way in rather than as a separate leg.

Ave Maria · Collier County

About 45 minutes

Inland and comparatively remote. Fewer trucks route through it, so the delivery window is typically a day or two wider than coastal Collier.

Questions

RSW-area transport, answered

Do you deliver vehicles to RSW airport itself?
Not to the terminal kerb or the passenger garage. Southwest Florida International is an active commercial airport and a loaded car carrier has no business at arrivals. What we arrange is a scheduled handoff at a suitable commercial location in the Fort Myers area near the airport, where a full-size trailer can safely load and unload.
What is the difference between terminal and door-to-door delivery?
Door-to-door means the driver comes as close to your address as the equipment and the streets allow, which is what most snowbirds want. A terminal-style handoff means you meet the vehicle at an agreed commercial location instead. Door-to-door is the default; the near-airport option exists for people flying in who have no Florida address ready to receive a truck.
Is airport-area delivery cheaper?
Sometimes marginally, because it removes a difficult final mile, but it is not a discount programme. Choose it because the logistics suit you rather than to save money.
Can you hold my car until my flight lands?
Only within a narrow window. Drivers need to unload and keep moving, so we schedule delivery around your arrival rather than storing vehicles for days. If you need genuine storage, tell us at booking and we will discuss the options honestly rather than promising something a carrier will not do.
Can someone else receive my vehicle in Naples?
Yes, on the same basis. Whoever receives the vehicle inspects it against the Bill of Lading and signs for it, so choose someone willing to actually walk around the car rather than sign and go. Photographs at delivery protect both of you.
What happens if my vehicle arrives before I do?
We coordinate with the carrier to hold delivery for your arrival date where the driver's schedule allows, or hand the vehicle to a person you have designated. For customers flying into RSW, timing the delivery to the arrival is usually easier than holding the vehicle, because a loaded driver wants to unload and keep moving.
Where can I meet an auto transport truck in Naples?
Large open commercial lots on the main east-west corridors are the usual answer — the sort of place with room for a long trailer to enter and exit without reversing into traffic. We agree the specific spot with you and the driver before delivery day, and we do not ask you to meet a truck somewhere unsafe or on a shoulder.

Enterprise Auto Transport is a broker, not a motor carrier. We evaluate carriers and arrange your shipment; a separate, federally licensed trucking company physically moves the vehicle, carries the cargo insurance on it and issues the Bill of Lading. You should always know which carrier has your car.
