Yes. Open transport is how new vehicles arrive at dealerships. For six-figure, collector or show vehicles we still recommend enclosed, but a late-model luxury car travels perfectly well on an open carrier.
Up to 100 lbs in the trunk is generally permitted. Personal items are not covered by cargo insurance.
