Verify before you book

Two minutes on the FMCSA website tells you who you're really dealing with

You do not have to take any company's word for it. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration keeps free public records on every licensed broker and carrier in the country. Here is exactly what to ask for and where to verify it:

  1. 1.Ask for the MC and USDOT numbers

Every legitimate broker and carrier must provide both on request. Our numbers: USDOT #2273104 and MC #774106. If a company hesitates or deflects, stop.

  2. 2.Look them up on the FMCSA SAFER system

Go to safer.fmcsa.dot.gov and use the Company Snapshot search. Enter the MC or USDOT number and confirm the legal name, operating status and “Authorized” broker or carrier authority match what you were told.

  3. 3.Confirm the $75,000 broker bond

In the FMCSA Licensing & Insurance portal (li-public.fmcsa.dot.gov), verify the broker's BMC-84 bond or BMC-85 trust fund is active. No active bond means no legal authority to broker your shipment.

  4. 4.Request the carrier's insurance certificate

Before your car is loaded, ask for a certificate of insurance directly from the assigned carrier — cargo and liability. Match the carrier's name and DOT number on the certificate to the truck that arrives.

When you check our records you'll find Enterprise Auto Transport, USDOT #2273104, MC #774106 — an owner-operated, federally licensed and bonded broker with offices in Naples, Florida and Minnesota. You can also read our full carrier vetting process.

Why classics ship enclosed

A classic car is not freight. Original paint, aged seals, low ground clearance and irreplaceable trim all argue for a fully enclosed trailer — protection from road debris, weather, salt spray and curious hands at every fuel stop between Florida and your destination.

Enclosed transport costs more than open transport, typically 40–60% more depending on the lane, and for a vehicle with real monetary or sentimental value it is money well spent. Every enclosed carrier we dispatch carries up to $2,000,000 in cargo coverage.

Soft-tie handling for collector vehicles

Chain tie-downs can stress suspension components and scar undercarriages on classic vehicles. The enclosed carriers in our preferred network use soft-tie systems — nylon wheel straps that secure the car by its tires, not its frame — along with liftgate or low-angle loading for low-clearance cars.

Tell us about your vehicle when you request a quote: ground clearance, whether it runs, any fluid leaks, and any handling instructions from your restorer or mechanic. We pass those details to the driver before pickup, not after.

  • Soft-tie wheel strapping — no chains on the frame or suspension
  • Liftgate or low-angle ramps for low-clearance vehicles
  • Up to $2,000,000 cargo coverage on enclosed carriers
  • Non-running vehicles accommodated with advance notice

From your Florida garage to anywhere

We pick up classics across Florida — Naples, Marco Island, Fort Myers, Miami, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville and everywhere between — and deliver nationwide. Whether your car is heading to a show, a new owner, a restoration shop or your summer home up north, you will know your carrier's name, MC number and driver before the trailer arrives, delivered through our encrypted secure-message system.

Call (239) 273-4649 to talk through your car with the owner, or request an enclosed quote online. White-glove concierge service is available for the rarest vehicles.
